Developing a novel Climate change Risk Assessment Framework for cultural heritage in Turkey - CRAFT
This project has developed a vulnerability assessment model for Istanbul’s cultural and historical assets. The model presents a vulnerability index and gives insight into the potential loss that heritage assets can face. The CRAFT project has identified 150 cultural heritage places in the Historical Peninsula of Istanbul that floods and landslides could endanger. The project has created the “Istanbul Heritage Forum” to involve local actors (communities, NGOs, institutions, cultural and education agencies) in a participatory conservation decision-making process.
